Troops of 59 Division heading towards Mullaittivu had a series of clashes with LTTE terrorists in general area Kumulamunai yesterday (21 Dec) from morning hours, the military report received from the battlefront said.
Two military formations, 591 and 593 Brigades, actively engaged in consolidating operations in newly gained areas confronted with groups of LTTE terrorists in Kumulamunai area, military sources said.
Troops have found a body of LTTE terrorist killed along with two hand grenades during a search operation conducted following the confrontation, sources added.
