Sri Lanka Air Force MI 24 Helicopters have pounded an LTTE gathering detected in northeast of Puthumurippukulam area this morning (Dec 21). Air Force spokesperson, Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara told defence.lk that the air strike was launched at 11.15 AM in support of Army 57 Division operating in the Kilinochchi battlefront.
The terrorists believed to have suffered heavy damages; he added citing intercepted enemy radio transmissions.
