Sri Lanka Air Force fighter jets pounded two LTTE gathering points detected in the West of Iranamadhu tank , in Kilinochchi this evening (Dec 21).
Air Force spokesperson Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara told defence.lk that the air raids were launched at 4 PM and 4.45 PM in support of the Army advance.
Meanwhile, the Army Task Force 1 soldiers opened fire at a vehicle carrying LTTE cadres in the Nivil area , in Paranthan this afternoon. Troops believe that a LTTE leader was traveling in the targeted vehicle.
