Task Force 1 troops operating in general area Nevil at the Northern Kilinochchi battlefront have engaged artillery attacks at identified LTTE ground movements yesterday (Dec 7).
Military citing intercepted LTTE communication said, terrorists were caught in disarray and many injured during the attacks.
Meanwhile, Troops of the Task Force 3, now advancing Northeast of Olumadu in Mullaittivu, met with intermittent LTTE resistance in the area. Troops have also uncovered a rocket propelled grenade launcher (RPG) and an I-com set during separate search operations conducted in the same area, Sunday morning.
